Has Trump saved Israel from Iran’s Nuclear threat? At last?

The following is a quick opinion piece reflecting on the recent strategic and geopolitical shifts in the Middle East.

When President Donald Trump ordered the decapitation of the Iranian military apparatus by assassinating Major General Qasem Soleimani during his first term, it wasn’t just a one-off flex of American muscle. It was the opening bid of the ultimate dealmaker, a man systematically setting the stage to dismantle an Islamist revolutionary regime obsessed with the destruction of Israel. Trump laid the groundwork by terminating what he rightly called “Barak Hussein Obama’s Iran nuclear deal,” a disastrous arrangement that did nothing but fund terrorism with billions in cash.

Today, we are witnessing the breathtaking potential grand finale of that strategy: Operation Epic Fury, an overwhelmingly compressed 32-day military campaign that crippled Iran’s defense base and brought a radical regime to its knees.

Let’s immediately dispense with the absurd fringe narrative that Trump somehow executed a “multi-dimensional long con” to trick Benjamin Netanyahu. The reality is far more triumphant: Trump and Netanyahu just pulled off the greatest joint strategic victory of the modern era. Netanyahu has spent four decades desperately pushing the United States to neutralize this exact threat. He went to the White House, made the hard sell, and pitched a “near-certain victory” to a President who actually had the spine to listen. In Trump, Netanyahu finally found the leader willing to deliver his ultimate wish. By unleashing B-2 bombers in Operation Midnight Hammer to totally jeopardize Iran’s nuclear sites, Trump permanently removed the greatest existential threat to the Jewish State. Israel is saved, and Netanyahu should logically be the very first to celebrate this historic destruction of the Iranian nuclear weapons program.

But Trump didn’t just save Israel; he fundamentally shattered the post-WWII British Imperial order. For decades, that outdated system relied on managed energy scarcity and endless proxy wars between Israel and Iran and other countries in the Middle East to maintain control. Trump flipped the board entirely. He seized leverage over the world’s most critical energy chokepoint—brilliantly and jokingly rebranding it the “Strait of Trump”. No longer will the United States act as the “dumb giant” securing shipping lanes for a bankrupt European “rules-based order”. Trump issued a brutal, master-class ultimatum to Europe: either find some delayed courage to protect the Strait yourselves, or buy your energy directly from us.

Because Trump relied on overwhelming military force rather than neoconservative nation-building, the Middle East is now experiencing an organic regime modification. A “less radical and much more reasonable” Iranian government might dare to potentially accept a 15-point ceasefire. And make no mistake, the Master of the Deal ensured the terms were ironclad: a “Nuclear Dust” protocol enforcing zero uranium enrichment, permanently watched by the exacting satellite surveillance of the U.S. Space Force.

This stabilization could and should set the stage for a geopolitical “golden age.” With the Iranian threat neutralized, Trump has created the exact dynamics needed to radically expand his historic first achievement, the Abraham Accords. Utilizing mechanisms like the Board of Peace, the region can finally pivot away from conflict and toward infrastructure, integration, and prosperity.

With the Middle East’s war-Octopus pacified, Trump can now effortlessly apply this same “peace through strength” blueprint to the Western Hemisphere. Furthermore, with Iran’s proxy-funding apparatus destroyed, the path is clear for the genuine reconstruction of Gaza, rebuilding the territory free from Hamas interference and fully integrating it into the Abraham Accords framework.

Trump hasn’t just won a war; he has re-written the rules of global power, saving his allies and leaving the old imperial systems in the dust.
