The 2026 World Economic Forum marks the official death of the “Old Order” (established in 1971) and the emergence of a new operating system for the West. Through a few analytical lenses a distinct discovery emerges: The Trump Team is not merely negotiating within the existing “globalist” framework but is dismantling it in favor of a Hamiltonian American System of physical economy. The Anti-Trump Team, while feigning resistance, has linguistically and policy-wise conceded the death of their own order, shifting from Globalism to a defensive Globalism Lite or Regionalism to survive.

# Finite vs. Infinite Players

Applying James Carse’s framework of Finite and Infinite Games, we discover a paradox where the “Nationalist” Trump Team is playing the Infinite Game of generative growth, while the “Globalist” Anti-Trump Team is trapped in a Finite Game of managed decline and theatricality.

- The Anti-Trump Team (Theatricality & Finite Boundaries):

  - Mark Carney and the Europeans are engaged in theatrical play. Carney explicitly references Václav Havel’s “greengrocer,” admitting that the old order relied on “living within a lie” where participants performed rituals they knew were false.
  - This behavior aligns with David Deutsch’s definition of a Static Society governed by Anti-Rational Memes. Their rituals are not designed to solve problems or create knowledge, but to disable criticism and enforce conformity to a narrative that cannot survive scrutiny. By prioritising the preservation of the institution over the correction of errors, they have rendered their system brittle and incapable of adapting to the new reality.
  - They are Finite players focused on *preserving titles* and *institutions* (NATO, EU, UN) even as the boundaries of their game (the “rules-based order”) disintegrate. Their focus is on “managed decline” and scarcity—limiting growth to save the planet (Malthusianism)—which creates a zero-sum (finite) contest for resources.
  - Ursula von der Leyen’s proposal for “EU Inc.” and a “savings and investment union” is an attempt to create new boundaries to preserve the status quo of the financial elite, rather than generating new wealth.
- The Trump Team (Dramatic Power & Infinite Horizons):

  - Trump, Bessent, and Lutnick are playing an Infinite Game focused on *continuing the play* through “Grow Baby Grow.” They view wealth not as a finite pie to be divided, but as an infinite capacity to be generated through innovation, energy production, and physical industry.
  - Lutnick breaks the “theatrical” fourth wall by stating bluntly: “Globalisation has failed... it is a failed policy.” This removes the mask of the finite game.
  - Trump’s focus on “eternal birth” (economic renewal) is evident in his rejection of the Old Order’s limits. By unleashing AI, nuclear energy, and oil, he rejects the finite boundaries of resource scarcity imposed by the Green agenda.
  - This approach operationalises Deutsch’s Principle of Optimism: the understanding that resources are not finite constraints imposed by the planet, but are created by explanatory knowledge. By rejecting the “prophecy” of scarcity, the Trump Team treats wealth not as a static pie to be sliced, but as a set of physical transformations that can be indefinitely expanded through human creativity and energy production.

# The American System vs. British Monetarism

This lens reveals a clash between two economic systems: the American System (production/labor-centric) and the British System (finance/rentier-centric). Davos was silenced. The Silence refers to the death of the Davos consensus that formerly controlled the narrative.

- Trump Team (The New/Old American System):

  - **The Discovery:** The Trump Team is resurrecting the Hamiltonian economic model. Lutnick and Bessent argue that an economy is built on *production*, high wages, and national sovereignty, not cheap consumer goods via offshoring and far-shoring.
  - **Housing as a Pillar:** Trump’s policy to ban Wall Street from buying single-family homes is a direct attack on the rentier class (the Davos model of “you will own nothing”). He wants citizens to build intergenerational wealth (Infinite play) rather than be farmed for rent (Finite play).
  - **Tariffs as Tools:** Tariffs are not just protectionism; they are the funding mechanism for this new system and a weapon to force reciprocal fair trade, reversing the “looting” of the US market.
- Anti-Trump Team (Globalism Lite):

  - The Anti-Trump speakers are silenced because they have no counter-argument to the US economic boom ($18T in new investment).
  - They are forced to pivot to Globalism Lite. Carney, Macron, and Von der Leyen are now adopting Trump-like language—“sovereignty,” “strategic autonomy,” and “re-industrialisation”—but attempting to package it within their existing, failing bureaucratic structures. They are trying to “regionalise” globalism by talking about agreements with Latin America after 25 years of negotiation, because the universal model has failed.

# The Collapse of the 1971 Order

This lens exposes that the Anti-Trump Team knows their era is over. They are panicking. The Panic is the realisation that the US is no longer the enforcer of the British/European imperial model.

- **The Rupture:** Carney explicitly admits, “We are in the midst of a rupture not a transition.” He acknowledges the Old Order is dead and not coming back.
- **In epistemological terms**, the Old Order was a Bad Explanation—an easy-to-vary myth that relied on the arbitrary indulgence of the US to survive. Trump’s new terms represent a hard-to-vary reality: a system constrained by the objective necessity of production and security, where details cannot be arbitrarily altered without the entire structure collapsing. The panic arises because bad explanations cannot survive the intrusion of reality.
- **The Void:** The panic stems from the fact that without the US acting as the “global policeman” and “consumer of last resort,” the European/Canadian models collapse. Their systems were parasitic on American hegemony, which provided security and open sea lanes for free.
- **The Reaction:** The Panic manifests in their scramble to form “intermediate power” blocks (Canada, UK, EU) to hedge against the US. However, as Lutnick points out, “When America shines, the world shines,” implying these middle powers have no engine for growth without the US.

# The Board of Peace & The End of Regime Change

The Chief Commissioner of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza represents the *fait accompli* of Trump’s new diplomatic architecture, which replaces the UN/NGO complex.

- **The Discovery:** The Board of Peace serves as a parallel structure to the UN, focused on transactional results rather than bureaucratic process.
- **Technocratic vs. Political:** The announcement of “one authority, one law, one weapon” and the opening of the Rafa crossing signifies a move away from the “Manage the Conflict” model favoured by the West toward a “Solve the Problem” model backed by Arab wealth and US muscle.
- **New Alliances:** Trump is utilising “non-traditional” partners (Turkey, Qatar, Egypt, UAE) to enforce peace, bypassing the British/European/Neocon preferences for endless destabilisation or “regime change.” This neutralises the Muslim Brothers’ networks often used by British intelligence to destabilise the region.

# Greenland & Sovereignty

The Greenland dispute is the geopolitical litmus test for the new era. It is not a negotiation; it is a notification of reality.

- **The Ultimatum:** Trump and Bessent frame Greenland not as a real estate deal, but as a non-negotiable requirement for Western Hemisphere security (Monroe Doctrine 2.0). “We cannot outsource our security.”
- **The Surrender:** While Macron and Von der Leyen initially posture about tariffs being a “mistake,” the German Chancellor Merz and even Carney eventually signal capitulation. Merz explicitly states support for talks based on “security threats in the high north,” validating Trump’s premise. Carney admits a “better outcome” is possible focused on security.
- **The Tariff Weapon:** Trump uses the threat of tariffs (on wine, machinery, etc.) to force compliance. He successfully used this to force a 90% drop in drug prices from Europe (“Most Favoured Nation” status), proving that when terms are delivered, the Old Order folds.

# The Discovery

This analysis discovers that Davos 2026 was a surrender ceremony.

The Anti-Trump Team arrived hoping to defend the status quo but spent their time eulogising it. Speakers like Carney and Macron admitted the “Rupture” and the failure of their model to generate growth or security without US subsidisation.

The Trump Team did not attend to debate globalism but to inaugurate the American System. By shifting the game from Finite (managing scarcity/saving the planet/regime change) to Infinite (generating energy/wealth/peace through strength), Trump has rendered the Davos consensus obsolete. The Board of Peace and the Greenland acquisition are the physical manifestations of this new order: Transactional, Sovereign, and Realist.
