Shortly after watching Dr. Einat Wilf’s interview with Olga Deutsch, Vice President of NGO Monitor, I stumbled upon an [article](https://www.memri.org/reports/article-egyptian-government-daily-al-ahram-israels-demise-will-save-world-and-will-be-boon?ref=otherwise.ghost.io#%5Fednref1) from *al-Ahram*, Egypt’s government daily. Its headline stopped me cold: “Israel’s Demise Is a Boon for Humanity.”

The fact that such rhetoric is not fringe propaganda but published in one of the Arab world’s most authoritative government outlets is precisely what makes Wilf’s analysis so urgent. What she describes as the “utopian promise of a world without the collective Jew” has now appeared, in full ideological clarity, in a major state newspaper. It is a chilling validation of her thesis, and a warning we can ill afford to ignore.

**Utopian dreams built on the destruction of the “collective Jew”**

Dr. Wilf’s central warning is that the path to utopia is now being mapped through the annihilation of Jewish sovereignty. She has said bluntly that “salvation and utopia await on the other side of getting rid of the collective Jew by any means necessary.” a*l-Ahram’s* article confirms this to the letter.

Salvation Through Erasure. It calls eliminating Israel “a noble aspiration” and “one of the noblest of deeds,” casting destruction not as violence but as moral duty.

The promise of a ‘clean’ world. The article fantasises about a world “free of injustice, aggression and conspiracy” once Israel is gone, portraying Jews as the singular obstacle between a flawed present and a perfect future. This is Wilf’s description of “Keep the world clean” ideology, illustrated in real time.

Hatred as logic, not emotion. Wilf stresses that this hatred is not irrational but “logical” within the ideology; people hate those who block their utopia. Here, Al-Ahram explicitly rationalises its hatred, describing Israel as the fountainhead of all “wars, crises, terror, and crimes.”

**The placard strategy: Israel as synonym for evil**

Wilf has described the decades-long “placard strategy” where Israel is reduced to a handful of condemnatory words: injustice, aggression, usurpation, crime. The *al-Ahram* article performs this strategy with clinical precision.

Synonyms for evil. Israel is labelled a “rogue state,” “founded upon injustice and usurpation,” its “evil encompassing everyone.” These words are not descriptive; they are categorical. They strip Israel of legitimacy, defining it as pure evil.

Eradication as the only path. Once an entity is absolute evil, compromise is impossible. The only “solution” becomes eradication. That is exactly the article’s thesis: humanity will be saved only once Israel ceases to exist.

**Palestinianism and the rejection of Jewish sovereignty**

Perhaps most dangerous is how *al-Ahram* validates what Wilf calls Palestinianism: the complete rejection of Jewish sovereignty, not just in the West Bank, not just in Gaza, but anywhere in the land.

Denial of sovereignty. The article dismisses Israel as doomed by a so-called “curse of the eighth decade,” reducing Jewish political life to a cycle of inevitable collapse.

Exploiting internal Jewish voices. It cites Neturei Karta, a fringe Jewish sect, to argue Israel is illegitimate on religious grounds, reinforcing the notion that Jewish sovereignty is rebellion against God.

The end goal made explicit. Its most chilling line: “A world without Israel is a legitimate dream and a noble aspiration.” This is Wilf’s fear in its purest form: the international normalisation of an aspiration for a *Judenstaatlosigkeit*, a world without Jewish statehood.

**Wilf’s warnings are no longer warnings**

What Dr. Einat Wilf has long diagnosed is no longer a theoretical danger. When a government daily like *al-Ahram* declares Israel’s elimination as a moral necessity and a global blessing, we are no longer dealing with fringe rhetoric. We are seeing a state-backed articulation of the very ideology Wilf warns will “only kind of end in one way.”

She is more than correct to be worried. She is justified in her ire. The publication of such words in *al-Ahram* should shake us into realising that the dream of “a world without Israel” is not whispered at the margins, it is shouted from official platforms. And history tells us, with grim precision, what happens when such utopian visions of cleansing the world of Jews become mainstream. One Jewish state, too many?
